Directions for one technique I did on this layout:  To get the photos on the end table to look a little more realistic with their placement, I used Edit > Transform > Perspective, to give just a little rotation.  I used the same process to rotate the coffee cup just very so slightly.  I think this adds to a more natural look to the items on the end table.
